The narcotic priest vows vengeance Upon the righteous, with chalice held high Crushed by the cross held to dear Betrayed by their faith as they cry Communion complete, the masses helpless Servents in the eyes of the new god The temple resounds with hymns of allegience On your knees and witness the birth of a king Black acid dreams, the moon turns to blood Black acid dreams, the deafening silence The mind's eye weeps the blood of a thousand ancients A chasm of infinity awaits, helpless and broken A serpent's kiss, eyes of blood, wings of fire Follow him to the Anti-Eden, Piper of the wicked Black acid concubine, your soul is mine Melting temples echo with the hymns of doom Prophecies become existance Cower and behold the death of hope Black acid prophecies Guardian of forever

about

On their self-titled debut album, Shed brings together a sextet featuring instruments seldom heard in the metal world. Calvin Armstrong's six-string electric cello fuels each song with a barrage of heavy riffs strengthened by bass guitarist Patrick Stevens and drummer Kelson Zbichorski.
Chris Misch-Bloxdorf, Drew Baxter, and Steve Wasilczuk lead each song's melodies and harmonies as a one-of-a-kind heavy metal brass section consisting of trombone, bass trombone, and tenor/baritone saxophones.
This unusual instrumentation results not only in new timbres for metal, but also new melodic and idiomatic structures that reflect the fundamental differences in writing metal for brass and bowed instruments rather than guitars.
The album explores a variety of moods and metal styles, ranging from heaping doses of stoner doom to tech death and thrashy feels, and features several fully improvised solo sections led by the brass section.
Hints of various influences can be heard throughout Armstrong's songwriting, including Apocalyptica, Sepultura, Alamaailman Vasarat, Gorod, and of course stoner doom legends Warhorse with a cover of their song "Black Acid Prophecy" finishing out the album.
